We are committed to staying with you for 7-9 years: from the start of your sophomore year of high school until you cross the stage as a college graduate and are on your way to finding a career of purpose. We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your success story.

What We Offer

  • Academic skill building
  • Access to early college credit
  • Career and self-exploration
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Mental health and wellness services
  • 1-1 academic coaching

Eligibility Criteria

College Bound seeks to admit current high school freshmen with at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher, demonstrate financial need, and/or would be first-generation college students—meaning your parents do not have a bachelor’s degree. All applicants must have the willingness, motivation, and desire to pursue higher education.

Student + Parent/Guardian Commitment

As a College Bound participant, you are expected to attend all scheduled programming: an average of 3 evenings a month, with programming taking place at the College Bound Headquarters.  You will work collaboratively with your assigned coach to set goals and develop skills that will contribute to your college success and beyond.  Our goal is for our participants to graduate high school with a 3.0 GPA or greater, and we are intentional about creating a personalized plan to get you there. The more you participate, the more you will learn and grow from the program!

We expect our College Bound parents/guardians to support you in meeting your College Bound requirements, participate in requested activities, and maintain communication with the College Bound team.

Application Process

We accept applications until our recruitment cycle closes. There are benefits to applying early, and we encourage our students to apply during the first semester of their freshman year. We accept applications electronically. The application consists of student information, school information, and family information. There are sections of the application that are best completed with help from your parent/guardian.

  • Fall Applicants : If you are applying to College Bound during your fall semester, you need to include your progress report or report card at the time your application is submitted. At the end of the fall semester, you will be asked to provide your unofficial transcript to verify your grade point average.

  • Spring Applicants: If you are applying to College Bound during your spring semester, you will need to include your unofficial transcript, that includes your fall grades, to verify your grade point average.

  • Fall and Spring Applicants: At the end of the school year, all applicants will need to provide their unofficial transcript, that includes fall and spring grades, to verify their academic year grade point average.

Once your application materials are received, they will be reviewed by College Bound and we will contact you to schedule a College Bound Interview. After the interview, your parent/guardian will complete the College Bound Enrollment packet, as this allows us to verify your eligibility for the program.
